Geology talk by George Wheeldon P.G., Emeritus Professor of Geology: Thursday, July 13 at 6:30 pm

Local photographer Caitlin Thompson will work with noted geologist George Wheeldon to explore the Deep Blue Lead, an ancient river channel that runs through El Dorado County, passing along the volcanic rocks near Lava Cap Winery, dipping under Smith Flat House, and following the metamorphic rocks and granite intrusions that contribute to the richness of the gold-bearing veins in the region. In partnership with Smith Flat House.
