The City of Placerville and Arts and Culture El Dorado are committed to growing Placerville’s cultural landscape by bringing more public art to our community. The Public Art Committee, convened by Arts and Culture, will play a vital role in shaping this future by reviewing and recommending projects to City Council in alignment with the Placerville Public Art Master Plan.
According to the Public Art Master Plan, the Committee “shall be responsible for the review, selection, and recommendation for the acquisition of all public art to the City Council for approval … the Committee shall make every effort to recommend a broad variety of artistic disciplines and acknowledge the wealth of artists within the local community.” Other roles and responsibilities of the Committee are listed on page 20 of the Plan.
