Arts and Culture El Dorado is very excited to be presenting Filaments: Fiber Arts in El Dorado County at Switchboard Gallery this spring. The show features a diverse collection of work by local weavers, that have been meticulously created by hand, from local farms to the gallery. The show will include a wide range of blankets, sculptural pieces, baskets, and other original hand spun work by some of the most talented artists El Dorado County has to offer. There will also be a history of weaving, as well as a wide range of devices that are paramount to the creation of textiles within this ongoing, living tradition. The exhibition will run from April 17 to June 1, 2025, and there will be an opening reception on Thursday, April 17 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Switchboard Gallery. In partnership with the Hangtown Fibers Guild.
