"Working Lands, Working People" celebrates the profound intersections of land, labor, and life in El Dorado County and the Sierra Nevada foothills. This exhibition will feature art that captures our unique regional environment, from our natural landscapes and vital watersheds to the realities of agriculture, rural life, and our diverse trades and crafts; viewing the land not as a backdrop, but as an active participant in our lived experience. Whether tracing the deep roots of our agricultural and timber heritage, highlighting the daily grit of rural jobs, or examining the delicate balance between community culture, economic survival, and the land itself, Working Lands, Working People will exhibit the diverse voices and creative expressions that literally and figuratively speak to the meaning of "work" and its inseparable connection to the land we call home.
