The Red Monastery is a Coptic Orthodox monastery named after an Egyptian saint called Pishay. It is located near the Upper Egyptian city of Souhag, and about two and a half miles (4.0 km) north-west of the White Monastery. Ōkunoshima is a small island in the Inland Sea of Japan. This island is often called Usagi Shima (Rabbit Island) because of the numerous feral rabbits that roam the island. The rabbits are rather tame and will approach humans. Ōkunoshima played a key role during World War II as a poison gas factory for much of the chemical warfare that was carried out in China, but now has many campsites, walking trails, a museum and many, many rabbits.
