Sugar Skull Art Walk
Sugar Skull Art Walk is a community art project that positions Latinx/Indigenous art in places of high visibility on Main Street in Placerville. The art serves as a bridge between communities.
Through collaboration, education, mentoring and the development of artistic skills and vision, the Sugar Skull Art Walk engages local Spanish-speaking, Latinx, Indigenous, artist and student communities in creating ofrendas for los Días de los Muertos.
The Sugar Skull Art Walk Collective is deeply grateful for the support of Arts and Culture El Dorado, the Sacramento Office of Arts and Culture, the California Arts Council, the Asociación Guadalupana, the Native American Center for Arts and Culture, the Rural Resistance Community Table, the Placerville Public Library, Main Street Merchants, Community Artists, Teachers, Students and the City of Placerville. Without you this project would not be able to be possible.
