SAYING GOODBYE (Country Couple)

He holds her hand, looks into her eyes.
Eyes that hold tears of sadness. He
tells her tenderly of the love he feels
for her, and what sadness he feels at
this leaving.

She tries to understand this urge, this
quest, this leaving. But she knows
he will not feel complete until it is
done.

She holds onto what he offers in this
moment of parting, knowing it must
last until he returns. This is their
first goodbye.
