Placerville Friends of Tibet
Placerville Friends of Tibet is a group of dedicated volunteers who, since 2003, have committed their time, energy and resources to sharing the culture of Tibet and Tibetan Buddhism within the El Dorado and Sacramento California area communities. Placerville Friends of Tibet’s mission is to support the Tibetan culture, Gaden Shartse Monastery, the monks, and their education in the Tibetan Refugee Settlement in Mundgod, India.
Each year the community happily hosts the monks who graciously share their arts and culture, Tibetan perspectives on the Buddha’s teachings, mandalas, empowerments, and blessings to individuals, families, the environment, and the community.
