Jim Kalteren is an artist, potter, and teacher who lives in Placerville, California.
Jim attended the College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, and graduated with a degree in Art from California State University. He is the owner of American River Pottery and has a studio in Placerville for teaching students the art and craft of pottery making. Jim has also taught pottery for our local Elementary Schools and El Dorado High School, and has had numerous pottery shows in El Dorado County.
