A recently constructed roundabout in Camino has received a finishing touch: a new sculpture from local artist Terrie Bennett. The sculpture—an artful rendering of an apple—represents an exercise in community self-definition and an elegant exploration of the culture, economy and values of Camino/Fruitridge Ag. District. Locals and visitors alike can now appreciate the sculpture at its new home just in time for harvest season.

Located centrally, just off Highway 50, the apple can be seen by motorists from every direction as they circumnavigate it on the roundabout.

The sculpture has been fabricated out of Corten steel with a rust patina, with laser cut designs representing the local area. The laser cut illustrations, viewable on each side, will be backlit from the sky and surrounding landscape.
