Arts and Culture El Dorado's Switchboard Gallery and administrative offices are located at 525 Main Street.

The name Switchboard Gallery is an homage to the building's original purpose as the Pacific Telephone Company building.

Waterways Banner

Water Ways: El Dorado Irrigation District's Centennial celebrates El Dorado Irrigation District's 100th anniversary with a look back at the agency’s early history and development, environmental stewardship, and the many services it provides to El Dorado County, using vintage images, maps, ephemera, and other items from the EID collection. An engaging talk on the History of EID took place on Thursday, September 11 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

The Sugar Skull Art Walk is a community project that engages local artist-designers in creating Day of the Dead “ofrendas” on Main Street. The goal of this project is to help unify communities through art, music, and the shared human experience of loss. The ofrendas were on view in Switchboard Gallery from October 13 to November 9, 2025.

In the Meadow Banner Rough Banners

In the Meadow is presented by the Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians Exhibits and Collections Center in partnership with concept:art+movement, featuring curatorial debut of Community Curator Shanti Parks. In the Meadow will open on Thursday November 13 and run through Sunday, January 11, 2026. There will be an opening reception on Saturday November 15, 2025.
