Native Roots: Botanical Artworks Plants Native to the Area
Friday, March 16 – Sunday, May 20, 2018
Within the borders of El Dorado County there exists a vast array of biodiversity; from tiny flowers to tall pines, the abundant variety of plant life within the county’s 1,786 square miles is astounding. Partnering with the El Dorado Chapter of the California Native Plant Society, the Pine Hill Ecological Preserve, and the Northern California Society of Botanical Artists, Native Roots is an exhibition featuring botanical drawings by highly skilled botanical artists. This show puts a focus on plants that are native to the area, with an emphasis on the rare and federally listed plants within the Pine Hill Preserve.
Opening Reception: Thursday, March 22, 6 – 8 pm.
